There is a new documentary premiering at a NYC film festival this spring. Trailer looks fabulous - Here is the Facebook page, if you have moment visit and like the page. Spread the word - new Stritchie film - Woo hoo!
I feel as if I have been waiting for this to come out for the a year now. I remember seeing a trailer for it as far back as last spring. Exciting news none the less.
I have a friend who edits for MTV, he says usually "teasers" are made well in advance of the release of a show or movie based on what ever footage they can scrape up. Sometimes that footage never even makes it to the show…
If its premiering at a film festival in NYC soon, must mean its finally done and looking for "sell" the film to a distributor. Let 's hope it sells well and quickly so we can get our hands on the DVD,Blu-ray or download whatever soon. In the case of At liberty, once it was out of stock they never bothered to re-release which is a shame because many stritchie fans would love to own a copy if they don't already… I guess that is an example of a "bad" distribution deal for a film?
When to the Facebook page last night and saw a new post for a Kickstarter/ indiegogo for the film. They need finishing funds and are looking to sell perks to fund.
Take a look at the perks - some VERY interesting perks!
The indiegogo link worked, thanks. Stritch bears an undeniable resemblance to my mother, who passed away last year. Only a passing physical resemblance, but eerily similar demeanor and attitude, as well uncannily similar phrasing. Since my mother passed away, it's difficult for me to watch Stritch. However I watched the teaser trailer as well as the fundraising video. The segment in the teaser where Stritch complains about not being able to drive brought tears to my eyes. I can no longer get through the video of her singing I'm Still Here from Sondheim's birthday celebration.

Not connected other than I have google alerts setup for anything Strtch. I post because I figured people would like to know which a few have it seems. However 1 or 2 keep thinking I'm connected... If I was - I'd say it, ****, i would thrilled to be connected to this movie! Why would I hide that? Why would anyone?
I've been dying to see it ever since I read about it last year. It's suppose to have a premiere date at a festival here in NYC soon... I hope it's TriBeCa, which I've been to in the past.
I have no information about when/where it is screening, but I wanted to say that I saw a cut of the film a few months ago and it really is great. It will not disappoint.
