About to use a Amazon gift card on this. Anyone else get it yet? I saw it in its theater engagement. But I was wondering about any extras and quality of the disc.
My blu-ray arrived from Amazon today. Still at work, so won't get to it for another 4 hours. I spotted myself in the audience when I saw it in theaters, and I'm hoping they didn't edit that out. It was my big-screen debut. lol
I was trying to wait for the holidays, or for the price to go down a little bit, but as soon as I knew it was actually out in the world, there was simply no resisting. I ordered my copy of the DVD last night and could just wait by the mailbox until it's here.
I did the same thing, SonofRobbieJ. And I'm really regretting it. I'm a little bummed out that there aren't any behind the scenes features. It would have been cool if they had highlighted the crazy rehearsal process they all had.
I used to have to have things right away. Glad I snapped out of that. I used a gift card and got that and a few other things. Should be here tomorrow. But as normal I will probably skip to the parts I like and then never watch it again.
Did anybody order theirs from DeepDiscount.com? I saw the lower price there, but they have a photo of the new production with a description of the Doyle revival. I didn't want to take any chances by getting a second copy of the 2007 production, so I didn't buy it.
But it's a decent price, especially with free shipping.

I wonder if there are any audio rips of this around... I bought the Blu-Ray... but would realllyyy love an audio. Private message me so info or how to?
I'm also interested in an audio rip of this, if anyone has one. Johnny, the only advice I have if you want to try and rip it yourself is do some googling and see which programs are the highest rated. I've ripped audio from DVDs before, but have since changed computers and can't remember what program I used.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

I got the Blu-ray on Thursday (from Amazon) and watched the first hour on Friday night. I saw it when it played in movie theatres, but forgot how well it was staged. Love the direction and performances. A terrific, all star cast.
Coach Bob knew it all along: you've got to get obsessed and stay obsessed. You have to keep passing the open windows. (John Irving, The Hotel New Hampshire)
Did anyone manage to rip the audio? I've got to say, I am really impressed by what I'm watching. I really love this production and am glad I have an alternative to the Doyle revival video.
I've watched the DVD several times since I got it. I love Price's staging and the book scenes really shine here. I've watched the Doyle revival a couple times, but this recording really captures Company in all its glory.
Watched it this weekend with my family. I must be hardening up, because it was the first time in 7 years that I've watched Company and not cried. The best part for me was getting to watch them watch it, and discover it in their own (sometimes humorous) ways. And being reminded that I actually know every single word.
I found the Blu-ray (brand new) for $12 on eBay and watched it. Just fantastic from start to finish! I love the cast and the orchestra. The staging was great, and everyone shined.
