"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Eric Stonestreet with a WALLOP of an acceptance speech. Good for him! Was hoping Jesse would win or tie. For being the couple they are in the show, I'm surprised their votes don't split allowing another nominee to win. Just goes to show how well liked Eric is.

JLD is great on VEEP and people knew immediately, that is was between her and Amy. Made for an interesting side-by-side comparison of the shows when Leslie Knope's whole arc was a political campaign. I still would have given it to Amy just because I am not sure how many seasons NBC will let the show go.
It is so bizarre that Mad Men has not won for Acting in its history. Jon Hamm vs. Cranston seemed like the race but Damian Lewis was actually a pleasant surprise though I wanting Hamm to win just cuz Cranston has a million at this point.
I'm happy with most of the results so far, especially Julia Louis Dreyfus - though I hate myself because I think all award- shows are mostly bull**** but can't help rooting for my favourites.
C'mon, Kathy Bates!
Beyoncé is not an ally. Actions speak louder than words, Mrs. Carter. #Dubai #$$$
haha good to know. WIth everything starting up this week, I haven't worked out an exact schedule. I think I'll start Homeland when I get it and do Breaking Bad during the winter hiatus. This is what I think about.
