Saturday morning at 9:00AM. Fox and CNN are saying it is Ryan.

Well, if it is Ryan will he boost Romney's numbers. Will he energize the base? Not sure.Ryan is pretty boring.I'm guessing Romney will enjoy some good numbers from now til the end of the convention.
Medicare will instantly become the big issue of the campaign. Unfortunately for Romney the Ryan plan for Medicare is extremely unpopular and I would not be at all surprised if this issue results in an instant drop in the polls for Romney.
I was also thinking, what if Ryan's name was dropped on purpose. Romney could have a totally different person in mind. Anyone remember this?

This is the man who Romney thinks will help energize his party?

Inane "breaking news" on CNN., 8 hrs till the boring announcement, nbc, however is confirming that Ryan is the choice. Such an anti climax. Can I go back to sleep now?
The political side of my Twitter feed said the Romney 'app' was updating with Medicare being crossed out. Dead giveaway it was Ryan. So they are embracing the stance, only appealing to arch-conservatives of the party, and putting that stance front and center as being why he was the choice. This is desperate.
Well you go ahead and yawn. I'm going to sit back and smile knowing that Obama and the press are going to RIP ROMNEY APART with this choice since he's basically saying that he agrees with Ryan's medicare plan. A lot of seniors on medicare are going to run to Obama to make sure they don't get those ridiculous "vouchers".
If everyone already knows then why not announce tonight already? Why would someone from the Romney campaign intentionally leak it hours before the announcement? I still think there is a chance it could be someone else. Ryan sounds like a terrible idea and even the nuts over at Free Republic are not that excited with his choice.(and they are the ones he is trying to win over!)
If it is Ryan someone tell Joe to go easy with him during their debates.Has anyone seen Ryan answer questions from the press?
Oh, and Sarah Palin just tweeted that she is packed and ready to fly to Norfolk, Va. on a moment's notice, just in case.

Of all the dumb choices the Romney campaign has made, choosing Ryan would by far be the absolute dumbest. I can't even wrap my head around the ridiculousness of how this campaign is being run.
I heard Fox News has been pushing for Ryan all summer long. It's possible that Mitt see's it as pleasing his base and he really needs his party's genuine support and none of this fake BS support.I would have thought Rubio would have been more appealing. Actually,I'm kind of sad it's not Bobby Jindal.

It's actually... a smart move for Romney. Honestly, it is.
Having Paul Ryan is like getting rid of Mitt Romney for a lot of Republicans. It's having the real candidate without having the candidate they're stuck with.

I don't know. I mean at this point, most people know who they're voting for. The ones that don't (I don't understand the "undecideds", but that's another story) aren't going to suddenly jump on Romney because he chose an extreme right candidate. If anything that's going to turn them off.

I don't get undecided voters, either, Jordan. Like... really?! Whatever your views, how can you look at Obama and Romney and go "Hmmm... I just can't decide!"

people vote for someone for all sorts of dumb last minute impulsive reasons. Dems must keep healthcare and the economy as the major issues. They also must hope that it doesn't rain or snow on election day. Americans are notoriously lazy when it comes to voting - except if it's for a reality show.
The thing with the seniors though is that Romney is behind in the polls. He can't afford to scare off ANY group of people and the Senior voters are a big ol' chunk of those numbers and they're not stupid. They're not going to play around with their Medicare.
