TODAY, Broadway / West End star Tony Vincent (from American Idiot, We Will Rock You, Jesus Christ Superstar, RENT and most recently seen on NBC's The Voice) launched a 30 day campaign via PledgeMusic.com to raise the funds necessary to complete his latest EP titled "In My Head". He's said via his pledgemusic campaign page today that these are the BEST songs he's ever written, and he wants to invite EVERYONE to come alongside him and help get this project finished and out there to the fans, where it belongs. Without the backing of a record label, the costs of putting out new music goes beyond the reach of most artists, so this simply cannot happen without our support.
To help the campaign along, Tony is offering some super cool incentives!--so you're NOT ONLY contributing to the completion of this amazing EP, but you ALSO get to own a groovy item such as a Ltd ed signed CD, a Ltd ed signed photo, or even a COLLECTORS item (most of which are literally coming off Tony's wall for this!) THEATRE FANS WILL ESPECIALLY WANT TO CHECK OUT THE AMERICAN IDIOT, WE WILL ROCK YOU AND JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR MEMORABILIA HE HAS PUT UP FOR GRABS! One of a kind items to treasure--seriously! (If you have family / friends who are collectors of theatre memorabilia, please send them over to check the items out too!)
Tony is so excited to be inviting us to be involved in this project, and he's working damned hard on it, so please spread the word on his campaign to friends, family and fellow fans, link to it on all your social networks, and pledge if you are able. Give whatever you can--all contributions (no matter how big or small) are CRUCIAL. We only have 30 days (from May 30th) to reach the target, and so hope to have you onboard!
I just want to thank those who have already contributed to the PledgeMusic campaign to raise funds for Tony's new EP and let you know that the items on offer to further the campaign are literally flying off the shelves SO, if you want to grab a piece of theatre history then you best do so soon!
Tony, We're all stoked for you, but... It's much more sincere to just post it yourself instead of "Ingrid from TeamTV." Everyone pretty much knows it's you, so just own it. Especially if you are asking for money. Second, all caps in a subject line are hard to read. Good luck though.
excuse me?? how do you work that one out exactly?? and you speak on behalf of 'EVERYONE' do you?? well, zoe, before you go making such allegations, i'd REALLY like to see you provide proof of this.
fact is, you CAN'T because you're talking nonsense--
tony vincent DID NOT post this and he does not run TeamTV --TeamTV is a UK based fan site that works to support Tony, and we're posting all over the web about his project right now. If Tony wanted to post on here, he would, as himself. He has no reason to claim to be someone he isn't.
If you don't believe who runs TeamTV search google for the url owner details. OR contact me --my contact details are on the left side of the page here-- http://teamtonyvincent.com/fr_CONTACTUS.cfm
Considering that Zoe's post was likely just a joke, maybe s/he's not the one that needs to re-evaluate behavior.
That being said, pretty impressive that he's already reached over 80% of his goal.
I don't believe in these sort of fundraisers, personally.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
i'm not seeing any 'jokey' connotations to ZoeTheGoats comment actually. but i will agree that tony is amazing, so any support that anyone can throw at his campaign would be much appreciated. doing this without record label backing is an expense beyond the reach of most artists unfortunately. thank you ingrid
