Thanksgiving Weekend - Rush Tickets

I will be in New York for five days over the Thanksgiving weekend and am hoping to take advantage of same day rush tickets for several shows, such as HOW TO SUCCEED, SISTER ACT, MANDY AND PATTI, and ANYTHING GOES. I was thinking on Friday and Saturday that my partner and I would split up and try to get seats for matinee and evening performances on each of those days. I realize we will both need to get in line early. Can anyone offer any advice as to just how early we will need to queue? I realize it will be a very busy weekend for shows and a chancey proposition. Thanks for your help!

Oh god I avoid Midtown like the plague that weekend. Everything will be packed - you'll need to be extremely early, I'd assume but obviously there's still some variation from show to show. Good luck! I'd plan to arrive at least a couple hours earlier than I would on a normal weekend.

If you're going to be there for 5 days, I would recommend seeing How to Succeed not on the weekend, or if they have a Friday matinee that's probably under advertised. That show especially will be popular with the tourist crowds in town for the parade.

How early do you think I'll need to camp out for Book of Mormon's added Friday matinee? (I intend to do SRO.) Also, any idea what Godspell's lottery on Thanksgiving will be like? Any guess on the probability of making it in?
