Hello,
I've just found a website that could possibly be promoting a La Cage revival, although it is hard to tell if it is associated with the musical or something completely different.

Doubt it's a pro teaser with artwork like that!

This is opening at the National Theatre in St Kilda, a semi pro production. Staring John O May and David Rogers Smith.

They plan on doing only about two weeks worth of shows. John O May was in the 85 Australian production

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Keith Michell as Georges, Jon Ewing as Albin, Sheere Da Costa as Anne & Gordon Boyd as M Renaud [Gordon Boyd I think also understudied 'Georges']

Lisa O'Dea played Anne for the Melbourne run. Also in the cast were Geraldene Morrow and David Ravenswood as the Dindons. They were both asked to reprise the roles for the London Production but declined. Ronne Arnold was Jacob.

If you are in Melbourne and travelling along Lower Esplanade at the back of the Palais Theatre glance up at the fly tower...you can see the old paintwork with the LA CAGE logo bleeding through the newer paintwork. Makes me smile everytime I pass.

I believe there was an Australian Cast recording on LP, was it ever released as a CD the way I remember it had a bit of dialogue on it that the Broadway Cast recording didn't have

No sadly, however there is a local site of someone who is manufacturing Australian Cast Albums and releasing them on CD from the original LPS (illegally I would think). The same person lists the Australian SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM amongst shows available. You might try a google search as I no longer have the URL. If I find it I will list it for you.

Oh no....I went past the Palais Theatre last week and there is scaffolding along the side.
I assume that the building is being painted. Soon the aforementioned LA CAGE logo will not be visible.
