Anyone know what shows are lined up for next season yet?

A little bird tells me the shows will be announced in the next month.

I think I heard them from someone on here, so don't crucify me if they're wrong...Beauty and the Beast and Wicked (Wicked wouldn't surprise me, it's been 2 years which was how long the gap was between its last 2 stops in Dallas).

Beauty and the Beast is for sure coming but not through Dallas Summer Musicals for it is playing at the Winspear Opera House. I suppose Wicked could be a possibility since it's current tour dates only go into the beginning of July. I would love for Young Frankenstein and In the Heights to make a stop!

Young Frankenstein is going to San Antonio and Houston back to back, so it could either play Dallas to round out Texas or those could be the only 2 stops it has here. Same for In the Heights, actually, except replace San Antonio with Austin.

I also wouldn't mind the non-equity tour of Hairspray stopping by again(I know it won't happen since it was here just last summer, but still). I seriously had a wonderful night of entertainment the night I saw that tour and would love to experience it again!

I'm wondering what the odds of the mini tour of Next to Normal coming to Dallas are. I'm betting it plays big cities like LA and the already-announced Chicago, but I'm not sure if it would come here...maybe just wishful thinking haha. Oh, and what about Shrek or The Little Mermaid for the fair show? They're both launching tours, and the past few fair shows have been relatively kid-friendly.

I would be the first one buying tickets to Next to Normal if it did come, but DSM has made a point in providing family entertainment so i'm thinking they might try to play it in the Majestic as part of their contemporary series. I would think we might have a good shot at getting The Little Mermaid tour if it starts up in time. DSM would probably make a killing off it due to the movie's popularity.

I think N2N would fit better in the Majestic, anyway. I forgot all about 9 to 5, that could be the fair show, but only if it came here directly after Tennessee.

I wonder if Hair and WSS will be on the road by then. Those could be rather popular and people would definitely get a kick out of reliving such classics.

On the website for Little House on the Prairie, it lists a stop at Music Hall from May 11-23, 2010.

Oddly, it goes from Dallas to Sioux Falls, SD before coming back to Fort Worth for a week at Bass Hall.

The Beauty and the Beast date I see for Winspear is March 3, but the official site shows them in Indiana at that time.

Still a chance for DSM.
