If it's a business, then why would you want to end a show in which there is still the possibility of making money or a profit.

LOL, wow, I agree with Brian. was recently attend a current show on a regular basis, after a few major cast changes, the show lost it's appeal. The moments I looked forward to were no longer special, just blurted out with no feeling behind the words. Needless to say, I am no longer going. But, I have the memories from when I did and those special moments will live on in my heart. Wow, did that sound sappy. oh well.

A show can always make money, But only if there is something left over after covering costs is there a profit.

^ Just a thought, but could that feeling come from seeing the show more then once- i mean, seeing anything repeatedly could reduce the impact it has on you. I can remember the thrill of seeing Elphaba rise during Defying Gravity, but after a couple times it just seemed routine. Not saying that after a show has ran awhile it can't loose it's quality- cause it can.

How? What's the profit if ticket sales only cover running costs and such and nothing is left over to go in the producers pockets.

"How? What's the profit if ticket sales only cover running costs and such and nothing is left over to go in the producers pockets."

What i'm saying is the phrase "making money" indicates a profit. You can be in business, and sell your inventory, but not making a profit, which indicates that your prices are too low, or your overhead is too high.
So, if someone says "are you making any money?" the answer is no.

Darreyl, No, it was the cast change and the way the lines were being said. IT was still special every time I saw it, until the cast changed and those moments were just bowled over and no thought was put behind the words.

My bad- i should have been more specific- i meant in general, not just you specifically.

Also, THANK YOU for getting my Name Right! Everyone either leaves off the L or just plain F it up- when all they have to do is look at it to see how to spell it correctly. Thank you!

It's because your genius decision to use lower case letters for your name makes the l look like a 1 in the series of numbers.

You were the designer and your design is flawed.

There is a distinct difference between the two. It's not my fault that you've not observant enough to know the difference.

I am done with you Namo, you can respond to me all you like, but don't expect one back. i think it's best that i don't continue to talk to you or you will accuse me of coming for you, then following me from post to post trying to come for me. Ain't nobody got time for that.
