The Possible reason why their Broadway Credits are not mentioned is due to the Stigma against theater vocalist. Record labels tend to shy any from any artist whom mentioned Broadway whether they sound like legit singer or not. It has been a stigma that has been around since the birth of pop culture. They don't see theater vocalist commercial enough to cross over. Which proven with Adam Lambert and many others are indeed artist that can Cross Over. Like many have said before. The producers control what the public will see. It's all about getting you to connect with a contestant's story.

There is nothing in the world better than Live Theater.

I heard she was eliminated but I didn't see the performance-- was it that bad?

She just rubs me the wrong way, talking about everything she's sacrificed to pursue a country music career. All struggling actors and musicians have it hard. Don't act like it's something new. When you can come back to New York anytime and book a Broadway show I wouldn't call it a major sacrifice. It seems to me she's been extraordinarily lucky.

Rachel's performance last night wasn't that bad. She sang Shania Twain's "From This Moment On." The other contestant's song was just better, so the judges chose to save her and eliminate Rachel. It was the right decision, in my opinion. I actually really enjoyed Rachel's performance on Wednesday night, when she sang "Alone" by Heart. 80's night was a lot of fun overall actually.

She did a Shania Twain song and her performance was better than ones from previous weeks but I won't miss her. Way too much shtick and not enough substance. I missed her in Evita but from what I saw her do on XF and based on what others have said, not so sure why she's not capitalizing on her acting abilities. I was actually surprised they dismissed her last night. I thought they would milk that "doe-eyed" routine until the end.

I will not miss her at all. Never been a huge fan of her voice. My favorite was on Wednesday night when she sang "Alone", Simon questioned what kind of artist she wanted to be. After responding with "a country artist", he said "this performance didn't show me that at all." Rachel sassed back, "Carrie Underwood might have done a song like this."

Rachel, not only MIGHT have Carrie Underwood done a song like that, but she DID sing "Alone" back on her season of American Idol. In fact, it was her breakout performance that solidified her as the favorite very early in the competition. And Simon was a judge that season. Just because Carrie Underwood could have/did sing that song, it doesn't mean it AUTOMATICALLY makes you sound like a country artist. Carrie infused a country rock aspect into that performance. You did not. Sorry.

Ok, rant over. Haha, I just needed to get that off my chest.

Interesting, sounds like singing "Alone" was a mistake. Everyone ALWAYS sings that on these singing competitions-- and also everyone remembers Carrie Underwood's version.

I'm a big fan of Rachel and wanted her to do well, but I certainly wouldn't mind if she came back to New York.

All these "reality" shows are anything but. I watch them sometimes too. But I also have multiple friemds who have worked on them and others who have been contestants. The producers can make anyone look how they want them to be perceived through editing. Taking any of these shows too seriously is silly.
