This season sure has started off with a bang. That tub scene, whoa.
Kudos to the writers for introducing a fat girl as hunky Quinn's sex/love interest. It hit me that we never see that kind of casting in shows like this, so it was most refreshing. Really like her.
Emily Walker is credited as Landlady according to imdb. I applaud that casting decision for several reasons as well. Perhaps it was a fleeting moment of passion or a mercy f*ck but it was great seeing the interaction between Quinn and her. It humanizes his character. The actress really sold me on the it-was-good-while-it-lasted pathos from a woman who's been "rode hard" by life. Her brief valedictory remark to Quinn was touching.
So far this season the series intrigues as much as the first season. The writing has been spectacular once again taking a female lead into unchartered territory. Claire Danes is very convincing as an emotionally numb Carrie unwilling to put anything before the mission. I'm anxious to see whether Quinn will be able to crack that shell this season. But, for some reason I foresee the Carrie & Quinn love story as the greatest one never realized. Hopefully, it doesn't turn out tragically.
If Obama sent her after ISIS, the problem would be resolved immediately.
Carrie takes no prisoners. She is not interested in anything, even her kid, beyond her job. I wonder how she might have changed had Brody survived. A white picket fence in Jersey with Brody and daughter? Somehow I doubt that would have worked.
Roxy, it's not about me thinking so, her character is known to be mentally ill, and was hospitalized, institutionalized, and does insane things when off her meds. That has been talked about in great detail on the show.
For a brief moment on last night's episode I thought a certain character had been killed off. "OMG, this is brilliant, never saw that coming. WOW! I thought." But turns out that's not true.
