Thirteen year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar, of Les Mis and Wonderland fame, and now runner-up on this year's X Factor USA, is debuting her new music video. It's this Friday (Feb. 1) at 7:30 PM online at Stageit.com. After the video Carly and her brother Russell will do a live Q&A with viewers. Tickets are required but you can pay whatever you want and part of the proceeds are being donated to the Starlight Children's Foundation of NY. Carly has gotten a lot of support from the Broadway community and so I figured that some of you would like to know about it. Carly's video debut on Stageit.com.
Here's Carly's X Factor audition video, which has gone viral and has over 25 million views since September. She blows everyone away with her version of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good". Feeling Good
I hope that you all don't mind my bumping this topic, as I would like people to have more of an opportunity to find out about this event, which takes place tomorrow.
Dontcha just love it when people expect to be given something for nothing?
The new video was produced professionally and so she had to pay for studio time, for a videographer and for editing. Plus there is no set price for tickets; people are asked to pay whatever they want. A portion of the proceeds are being donated to a charity for sick kids. Carly was on Twitter yesterday, giving away free tickets to fans who cannot afford to pay. She and her brother are also doing a live Q&A with ticket holders after the video plays.
So tell me, pretendworld, who's the entitled one here? I don't think it's the 13 year old kid.
