A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Sorry to disagree but I find her outrageously funny and she is not racist or homophobic at all. It's an act. I have several friends who know her personally. She happens to be a major friend of the gay community. She's just an equal opportunity offender. Naturally, sensitive types who easily get their panties in a bunch should stay far away.
If you don't get her act, so be it, but she has a huge fan base and this show could be a big hit.

I'm not saying anyone has to like Lampanelli or enjoy her concerts. I myself don't care enough to spend money on them, though I do watch her TV specials.
Her events seem to be based on marginalized people laughing at the language used to keep them in their place. They (we) have been hurt by words, but if they (still we) can laugh at those words, then they (we) don't take them so seriously.
Along with earning a living, I think that's her aim. And unlike Andrew Dice Clay (who was similar when he began), Lampanelli has not cultivated a bully chorus of young, white men who applaud the content of what she says rather than mocking the absurdity of the stereotypes.
Obviously, there is an audience for what she does. I don't believe her fans all secretly hate themselves.
Again, I also understand why many don't agree. Hers is the sort of comedy with a limited shelf life: each new concert seems less funny and more like a child saying "poopie poopie poopie". No, wait: that phrase belongs to Lewis Black (a true genius).
