Posted: 4/23/06 at 2:01pmHello dear people: I've been debating whether to go to San Francisco this July to see the pre-Broadway run of "A Chorus Line" at the Curran Theatre. I wasn't sure when the tickets would be available for the general publique. Well, I took a "looksey" at Ticketmaster and voila! The tickets are there!! Granted, there are ticket brokers which are already grabbing their ACL tickets, but I don't want to pay an "arm and a leg" as I did with my "Wicked" ticket. I'm going to SF for the Wed. July 26th perf, with a balcony seat. I haven't been to SF since 2004, so I'm excited about that too. IF you want to journey to SF and see ACL, get your tickets soon before the ticket vultures (brokers) grab all of the normally priced tickets. from Roman in Austin, Texas... the official Patti LuPone FANatic

Posted: 4/23/06 at 2:42pmThanks for the heads up on this. The ad in the paper today states that the presale is on now but only for American Express Gold Members. However, I was able to get my tickets with a Master Card. The downside is that the cost of each ticket is $101.00!!!

Posted: 4/23/06 at 3:16pmHi. I didn't go for the orchestra seating and picked a balcony tix instead. It was listed at $60.00 with Ticketmaster. With taxes and surcharges, it comes out to $71.60. Plus, I got a good deal for my flight with Expedia (total roundtrip from Austin to Oakland: $322.69.) Now, I already have a hotel in mind in SF. It's less than a block away from the Curran. Posted: 4/23/06 at 3:21pmI'm going to see it on August 4th. I tried a few earlier dates but all I could get were tickets way over to the left or right. I ended up getting 2nd row center for the 4th. I loved "ACL" and saw it many times on Broadway, including the final performance. Should be a fun time.
