They've been doing it for awhile. I don't know how long exactly, but Seth Rudetsky has been talking about in his column. Not to much though because he can't give anything away.
I would think they would reveal it in private. Just using the audience to perform in front of.

Jerrys got the last word. I read somewhere (im gonna try to find the article) that-that was part of the contract with MTV for this show. He got last say.
It says that audience members have to sign a confidentiality agreement. So if you attend the taping and tell us the winner on the board, MTV can take legal action against you basically.
I agree. The word will definitely get out. That's why the final episodes of these reality casting series are usually taped live on the night of the airing. I'm surprised they're doing it in advance before an audience.

usually reality shows are finished filming by the first television airing.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow. You'd hope they would notify you by then, lol.

Ummm, alot of shows reveal winners in front of audiences and then make the audience sign waivers and they never get out because you literally can go to prison just for telling your mother and its easy to track people down if they post it on the internet.
I just got this e-mail: _____________________________________
Congratulations!
You and your guest(s) are registered to participate in the FINALE TAPING OF "Legally Blonde - The search for the new Elle Woods - On MTV"!
You need to arrive no later than 3PM at The Palace Theater (The Legally Blonde Sign is huge) on 47th and Broadway on the Southeast corner. There will be a line forming.
**There is NO need to arrive super early - in fact - try to be there right at 3PM. We do not want you worn out from standing in line all day - we need you for the full stretch of the show taping! Taping by the way should last till around 8ish - obviously ending with the final on stage challenge and the WINNER - the "new Elle Woods"! Unlike the taping of the entire musical a few months ago - we have plenty of room for our "hard core" Legally Blonde fans for this very special taping! SO - if you want to bring extra friends along with you its cool - as long as you all hang with us the whole time!
SOME IMPORTANT REMINDERS: 1. Do NOT bring any cameras of any kind - or cell phones that have cameras. VERY IMPORTANT. Since this is a top secret FINALE and you are being trusted to keep quiet about the winner. No spoilers here. 2. You will be asked to sign a confidentiality / release form. If you are under 18 - your parent or legal guardian must sign for you....so please have them there with you when you check in! 3. Please be prepared to stay with us for the entire taping! We will be having a blast - but we need to remind you that this IS a taping for TV and our crowd has to look the same for the first shot to the last! PLUS - you wouldn't want to miss the big ending - the "crowning" of the NEW Elle Woods!
We are going to have a GREAT TIME.
See you at the show!

They can hope for no one to reveal the winners all they want. On a message board they can't really track anyone down because our screen names are all alises. That being said, they could track you down via your IP address but that takes a lot of work. More then I think they are up for doing and if your using Broadwayworld from more then one computer it would be doubly if not triply hard for them to find you.

Except...they don't want you there. Cancelled...my guess is they're going to do a live finale...there's no way *that* many people could keep it a secret, and for more than a month...when the reality show hasn't even begun to air.
