SHIPWRECK, easily. VOYAGE (while good) is a glorified soap opera, and nothing gels in SALVAGE. SHIPWRECK is the only play in the trilogy that can stand on its own.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

See, I liked Shipwreck the least of the three...though perhaps that had to do with the fact that the person next to me stank to high heavens, and after about 10 minutes I wanted to get the hell out of there!

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

Shipwreck was my favorite.

VOYAGE was the most entertaining. SHIPWRECK consisted of the best storytelling. SALVAGE was agonizingly dull.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."
