Impro Melbourne presents two shows for this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival: Late Night Impro and Celebrity Theatresports. The Melbourne International Comedy Festival celebrates its 28th year in 2014.

Celebrity Theatresports, the show that inspired Whose Line Is It Anyway?, combines the family friendly joy and hilarity of Theatresports with the prestige and glamour of celebrity, creating a night of unscripted, hysterical fun! Teamed with Impro Melbourne's top players, the celebrity guest stars perform scenes, songs and general mischief in their bid to win over the hearts of the judges and take out the coveted 'Peter Cook Cup.' Removing all safety nets and putting celebrities straight on the stage, with no script and no second chances, Impro Melbourne's Celebrity Theatresports is spontaneous entertainment found nowhere else in the Comedy Festival. This year's celebrities include George Kapiniaris, Kevin Harrington, Lawrence Mooney, Chan & Steve from The Block, cast members from Neighbours, the Impro Melbourne All-Stars, plus more big names, and is hosted by Russell Fletcher. Visit www.impromelbourne.com.au for more celebrity announcements.

From the company behind Celebrity Theatresports comes the original late-night, sell-out Comedy
Festival hit, Late Night Impro! Hold on to your bladders, because this year Late Night Impro features
the roller coaster ride into sidesplitting comedy and gutwrenching guffaws that is the Bingo Board of Doom. Players create scenes and storylines from audience suggestions, and then submit their lives to the Bingo Board as our host pulls balls at random to impact the scenes. How about a day in the life of a mechanic, sung in opera? Or an interview with an AFL footballer, entirely in sign-language? Yes, the results are occasionally random, sometimes surreal, but always hilarious. Late Night Impro players include Rik Brown, Lliam Amor, Gillian Cosgriff, Jimmy James Eaton, Amanda Buckley, Jason Geary, Liam Ryan, plus special guests.

Impro Melbourne produces all forms of improvised theatre from minute-long games and impromptu musicals to Shakespeare-on-the-spot and hour-long fully improvised plays, and currently produces the global impro format Theatresports™, as well as Keith Johnstone's two other competition formats Maestro™ and Gorilla Theatre™.
