William Peace University, a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that the William Peace University Singers will perform at the 11 a.m. worship service of North Chapel Hill Baptist Church on Sunday, Aug. 25. The church is located near the intersection of Highway 86 (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) and Eubanks Road in Chapel Hill, N.C. The choral ensemble, directed by Julie Ricciardi, vice president of engagement, will sing a wide repertoire of sacred music, including spiritual and contemporary Christian music. The public is invited to attend this free event.

"William Peace University is honored to have the opportunity for our Peace Singers to showcase their skills at North Chapel Hill Baptist Church, a religious institution in this area for nearly 90 years," said Debra M. Townsley, Ph.D., president of William Peace University. "This occasion will mark the first appearance this fall season of our talented and well-recognized ensemble, and we encourage everyone who enjoys great harmonies and strong vocals presented with a professional style to come out to this special event."

The William Peace University Singers are a musical staple of the university and have performed across the Triangle in a variety of showcases. Their most recent appearances have included Governor Pat McCrory's inauguration ball, the inaugural AT&T Heritage Calendar gala in Raleigh and carols at the Treyburn Country Club in Durham, N.C.
