Team FUV is once again partnering with NPR Music to broadcast live performances from the Newport Folk Festival in Newport, Rhode Island today, July 26-28.

WFUV's Rita Houston and Alisa Ali will host the coverage, along with Ann Powers and Bob Boilen of NPR Music. The scheduled lineup for the weekend includes favorites The Avett Brothers, Beck, The Lumineers, and Old Crow Medicine Show, as well as up-and-comers The Lone Bellow and Shovels and Rope. Performances from the Newport Folk Festival will air live on 90.7FM and wfuv.org today from 2:30-8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12-8 p.m. WFUV will also carry exclusive backstage interviews and post photos from the festival throughout the weekend at wfuv.org.

"After 54 years Newport is still a go-to destination for music lovers," Rita Houston said. "When you look at this year's lineup, it's no surprise that Saturday and Sunday sold out instantly. We're really pleased to treat everyone who couldn't get tickets to a great weekend of music."
