Tony nominee Alex Timbers, who is currently directing the premiere of UP HERE at La Jolla Playhouse, last helmed ROCKY on Broadway. Before that, he directed PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON (for which he also penned the book) and JERSEY BOYS. He also headed MCC's PERMISSION this year, as well as HERE LIES LOVE off-Broadway and in the West End. Timbers is also a co-writer and co-creator for Amazon's MOZART IN THE JUNGLE.
