The Village Playwrights will present staged readings of 8 short plays to celebrate Halloween with LGBTQ themes. Following their successful short play reading celebrating Gay Pride in June, the Village Playwrights is continuing to bring a new dimension to the holidays for LGBTQ people with plays readings of new works that view traditional Holidays with a non-traditional perspective.

The 8 Halloween plays are:

  • "Crossover" by Ross Hewitt. A Gay man is visited by his former lover's ghost.

  • "Night of the Living Fundamentalist" by Michael Rendino. A Lesbian couple are visited by a religious zombie.

  • "Miles of Homemade Candy" by Cassie M. Seinuk. A son chooses Halloween to explore cross dressing.

  • "Three Witches" by Thomas J. Misuraca. Three witches cast a spell on a hunky waiter.

  • "Rise of the Bisexual Hoarders" by Sean Pollock. The world is plagued by Bisexual hoardism.

  • "Sugar Horror" by Rex McGregor. Two kids are undone by sugar addiction.

  • "A Sympathetic Ear" by Michael Shoberg. A Gay man mistakes a vampire for Gay.

  • "Lizzie Borden Took An Axe" by Linda Herskovic. A Lesbian couple sleep in Lizzie Borden's room.
