Symphony Space will honor philanthropists Ted and Mary Jo Shen at their 2016 Spring Gala on May 9th. Hosted by James Naughton, the evening will feature performances by Victoria Clark, Lilli Cooper, Chuck Cooper, Ricky Ian Gordon, Michael John LaChiusa, Ted Sperling, Katie Thompson and many others. Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director at The Public Theater, will present the award to the Shens.

Symphony Space's 2016 Gala is co-chaired by Evelyn Alden, Steven M. Alden, and James Naughton. Honorary co-chairs include André Bishop, Victoria Clark, Oskar and Laurie Eustis, Ricky Ian Gordon, Adam Guettel, Todd Haimes, Michael John LaChiusa, Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, Bernadette Peters, Eric Schaeffer, Stephen Sondheim, and Jeanine Tesori.

A number of Broadway stars and Symphony Space artists will attend this benefit, including Honorary Co-Chairs and Tony Award winners Bernadette Peters and Jeanine Tesori. Artists Carolee Carmello, Carmen de Lavallade, Gregg Edelman, Malachy McCourt, Christopher Meyer, Kaneza Schaal, Calvin Trillin, Wendy Whelan and Rita Wolf will also attend.

This one-night-only special event will take place at Gotham Hall, located at 1356 Broadway in New York City. The evening will begin with cocktails and a silent auction at 6:30pm; performance and dinner will begin at 7:30pm.

A very limited number of single tickets are available at the $2,000 level. These premium tickets include a VIP cocktail party with the honoree and artists. All proceeds will benefit the performing arts and education programs at Symphony Space, a non-profit organization.
