The Farm Theater will present a special two-day presentation of Vickie Tanner's solo show, Running Into Me, directed by Padraic Lillis, on Tuesday, March 29 at 3pm and 7pm and Wednesday, March 30 at 7pm at The NuBox Theatre at the John DeSotelle Studio (300 West 43rd Street, 3rd Floor). The compelling story of Vickie's struggle to succeed, despite a misguided upbringing in Compton, CA. Vickie plays various characters from her troubled past, while weaving interviews with today's teenagers through her story, taking us on a rollercoaster ride into the minds of young people, and simultaneously painting a vivid portrait of her own odyssey.

The creative team will include Lighting Design by Chris Dallos and Sound Design by Hillel Meltzer with Producing Mentoring by The Bret Adams Agency.

VICKIE TANNER (Writer/Performer) received a BFA in theatre at California State University, Long Beach and studied the Meisner Technique in a 2-year professional acting program with Maggie Flanigan in New York City. Among her theatre credits are STOMP (Original American cast, Orpheum Theatre, National and European Tours); world premiere of TANTALUS, Denver Center Theatre and British tour with the Royal Shakespeare Company, written by John Barton, directed by Ed Hall and Sir Peter Hall, TWO DAYS, Long Wharf Theatre, by Donald Margulies, directed by Lisa Peterson, and THAT DAMN DYKSTRA at Access Theatre. She wrote and has performed her solo play, RUNNING INTO ME, in New York at 59E59 Theatres (Directors Padraic Lillis/Bruce McCarty), La Mama, Cherry Lane Studio Theatre, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Queen's Theatre in the Park, Dixon Place Theatre, the United Solo Festival 2011 & 2012, Whitefire Theatre in Los Angeles (Dir. Bruce McCarty), 78th Street Theatre Lab (Dir. Margarett Dykstra) and Edinburgh Fringe @ Underbelly, Cowgate, 2014 (Directors Padraic Lillis and Bruce McCarty). She has recently been awarded a weeklong residency at the The Ayles and Day Artists Retreat to work on a new currently titled: Leave Me Alone.
