Tony Award winning actor Dick Van Dyke will release his memoirs in the fall of 2010, according to recent reports.

Van Dyke, the prolific performer whose career has included stage performances (Bye, Bye Birdie, The Music Man), Film (Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and, of course, Television (The Dick Van Dyke Show, Diagnosis: Murder) will have his book published by Harmony Books, an imprint of Random House, Inc. The terms of the book deal were made available.

Van Dyke was last seen on the Broadway stage as a guest star in Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life, appearing in the show January 24-26, 2006. Van Dyke and Rivera appeared together in the original Broadway production of Bye, Bye Birdie, which earned Van Dyke a 1961 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
