While theater fans have clearly marked May 3rd on their calendars as the date that nominees for the 2016 TONY AWARDS are revealed, HAMILTON's Renée Elise Goldsberry would rather be kept in the dark. "I don't know when the Tony nominations come out," the talented actress tells PEOPLE, "And that is by design so if you know, do not tell me!" Find out what all the secrecy is about below!
HAMILTON opened on August 6, 2016 at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
