On last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS on ABC, contestants were asked to recall the most memorable year of their lives. Broadway vet Corbin Bleu (Godspell, In The Heights) chose to dedicate his performance to his 12-year-old sister Phoenix, who in 2011, was diagnosed with scoliosis, requiring her to wear a brace 24/7.

"She's never let it affect her" said the proud sibling."She is such an inspiration to me." Corbin and his partner Karina Smirnoff danced the FOX Trot to Rascal Flatts' "My Wish." Check out the performance below!

Following the performance, Len Goodman shared, "You really are a terrific dancer, I'm telling you. You always get the character of the dance straight away."

Added Bruno, "You can be the lost child of Fred Astaire and Ben Vereen. You have the smoothness of Fred Astaire and the slickness and the verve of Ben Vereen."

However, there seemed to be a discrepancy as to whether Corbin had lifted Karina off the ground, a one-point penalty in the eyes of judge Carrie Ann. While she gave the couple a 9 instead of a 10, she agreed to add back a point if a slow motion replay revealed that Karina's two feet had indeed remained on the ground.

The couple received a total of 28 out of 30 points including a 10 from Bruno. They will move on to the next round the competition.
