Actors Jonathan Freeman and Ethan Freeman share last names, and even share roles, each playing the evil Jafar in Disney's hit musical comedy, ALADDIN.

What they don't share is a language. Jonathan Freeman voiced the character in the 1992 animated feature before the rest of him came along to originate the role on Broadway. His German colleague currently plays the role in Hamburg.

In the clever video, the two funny men see if the American Freeman can recognize his lines when spoken in German by his counterpart.

Aladdin opened to critical acclaim on March 20th, 2014 and quickly established itself as one of the biggest new blockbusters in recent years, breaking 11 New Amsterdam Theatre house records and welcoming over 2 million people worldwide.

ALADDIN's global footprint has expanded to include productions in Tokyo, Hamburg and London, an upcoming production in Sydney and the recently announced North American tour."

Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, Aladdin features music by Tony Award and eight-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Sister Act), lyrics by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), three-time Tony Award and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice (Evita, Aida) and four-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Beguelin, and is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon).
