On Monday night, August 27th, Tony-Award winner John Gallagher Jr (Spring Awakening, American Idiot and HBO's The Newsroom) will return to his rock 'n roll roots for one night only at the legendary Bowery Electric in the East Village.

Joining John on the bill will be his good friends The Young Things, recently named by CBS News as one of the top five acts to see in NYC for 2012.

Gallagher, who originated the role of Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening on Broadway, has also appeared in Broadway's American Idiot, Jerusalem and Rabbit Hole, as well as the Off-Broadway productions Farragut North, Port Authority and Kimberly Akimbo. He currently plays Jim Harper in Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom on HBO.
