The New York Times reports that Tony-winning NEXT TO NORMAL star Alice Ripley will lead A CHRISTMAS MEMORY in its off-Broadway premiere at Irish Rep, running November 25, 2014 to January 4, 2015. Charlotte Moore directs.

A CHRISTMAS MEMORY features book by Duane Poole, music by Larry Grossman and lyrics by Carol Hall.

The musical is based on an autobiographical short story by Truman Capote and centers on 'Sook' (Ripley), who is "one of a family of eccentrics helping to raise a young boy...in 1930s Alabama, with the plot set around the celebration of a traditional Southern Christmas."

Ripley will star alongside Chicago's Nancy Hess, Annie's Taylor Richardson and The Color Purple's Virginia Ann Woodruff.

Ripley's other Broadway credits include The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Side Show, King David, Sunset Boulevard, The Who's Tommy and Les Miserables.
