A host of luxury items - including seats to a live taping of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, a visit to the set of BOARDWALK EMPIRE, and two separate packages that each include music handwritten and autographed by the legendary composer John Kander - are among the 40 offerings featured in the Vineyard Theatre's annual online auction, which is underway now until Friday, February 28 at 6 pm.

Bids can be made via the BiddingForGood website: www.biddingforgood.com/vineyardtheatre.

Other items of note in the auction are two tickets to Broadway's HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH including a meet & greet with director Michael Mayer, packages that include two seats to CHICAGO and CABARET, tickets to BEAUTIFUL and a backstage visit with the musical's book writer, Doug McGrath, and a lifetime membership to the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) in NYC.

The online auction was launched as part of The Vineyard's annual Gala Benefit held at the Edison Ballroom in New York on Monday, February 24. The evening was a celebration of the music of the late composer Dory Previn, and Vineyard artistic director Douglas Aibel announced that later this year the company will begin developing a musical based on Previn's music and writing.

On Sunday, March 2, The Vineyard will opens its latest production - ARLINGTON, a new musical by Victor Lodato and Polly Pen, directed by Carolyn Cantor and starring Alexandra Silber as a wife who valiantly waits at home while her husband is off at war. Ben Moss completes the cast of ARLINGTON.

Vineyard Theatre is one of the nation's leading non-profit theatre companies, now in its 31st year. Dedicated to the creation and production of daring new plays and musicals, The Vineyard has consistently premiered provocative, groundbreaking works, including Nicky Silver's THE LYONS; Marx, Lopez and Whitty's Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q; Kander and Ebb's THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS; Bell and Bowen's [title of show]; Paula Vogel's HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE (1998 Pulitzer Prize); Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN (1994 Pulitzer Prize); Tarell Alvin McCraney's WIG OUT!; Will Eno's MIDDLETOWN, and many more.
