The final show of Live @ Benaroya Hall's successful inaugural season is quickly approaching (tickets to The Monkees on August 17 at 8pm, are still available) and Benaroya Hall preps for a stellar sophomore season. Tickets for Chris Cornell and Makana will go on sale at 10am on Friday August 16. All other concert tickets are on sale now. In addition to the seven concerts listed above, more will be added as the season continues on through June of 2014. Information on additional shows will be released as it becomes available.

Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock & Jack DeJohnette: 30th Anniversary Concert

The premier jazz trio of Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock & Jack DeJohnette hits Seattle as part of a four-city U.S. tour. Celebrating 30 years since their first studio release as a trio, Jarrett, Peacock and DeJohnette bring their locked-in, harmonically unrivaled, rhythmically bolted-down music to Benaroya Hall for a one-night-only concert event. This performance is a Live @ Benaroya Hall and Earshot Jazz Festival co-presentation.

Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell Oct. 2, 7:30pm - Tickets $62- $127

Benaroya Hall is one of a handful of American venues where Steve Martin, Edie Brickell and the Steep Canyon Rangers will perform songs together from their newest album collaboration, Love Has Come for You. The legendary actor has emerged as one of the most acclaimed bluegrass banjo players working today. This collaboration with singer-songwriter Edie Brickell and the Steep Canyon Rangers is the follow up to Steve Martin's album The Crow, which won the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album and Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers' 2011 album Rare Bird Alert. This performance does not include the Seattle Symphony. Steve Martin's performance is generously underwritten by Jeff Lehman and Katrina Russell.

Unplugged and up close, rock icon Chris Cornell, lead vocalist for Soundgarden, will perform songs from his entire eclectic catalog in a very special solo show at Benaroya Hall. This one-night-only acoustic concert event includes a special guest appearance by Sri Lankan-American folk-rock singer Bhi Bhiman

Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell with Richard Thompson Nov. 5, 7:30pm - Tickets $40-$85

Country Music Hall of Famer Emmylou Harris continues to inspire with her latest album, Old Yellow Moon, a collaboration with longtime friend Rodney Crowell. Guitarist Richard Thompson joins the duo for a pitch-perfect evening.

Born and raised in Hawai'i, Makana is an internationally acclaimed slack key guitarist, singer, composer, philosopher, activist and one of Hawaii's cultural ambassadors to the world. He is considered the youngest authority on his art form and recognized as one of the top guitarists in the US (Guitar Player Magazine 2008). His music was featured in the George Clooney film, The Descendants and that album is a 2013 Grammy nominee. The New York Times calls him "A dynamic force within the style of slack key" and Esquire Magazine reminds us that "Makana is to be considered the greatest living player of slack key guitar music."

Touring in support of their newest album Meet Me at The Edge of the World (release date Sept. 3, 2013), the new southern Ohio-based husband-and-wife team of Karin Bergquist and Linford Detweiler have created an intimate epic album born out of the land surrounding their 1830s brick farm house. This is their most ambitious album to date with 19 tracks that were all recorded live in six days with Grammy-winning producer Joe Henry (Bonnie Raitt, Bettye Lavette et al) at the helm. Born and bred in the Seattle area, Noah Gundersen brings his indie spirit and his guitar to the intimate Recital Hall stage.

Casa Patas Flamenco Foundation Presents Templanza Nov. 22 & 23, 8pm; Nov. 23, 3pm. Tickets $39

Casa Patas Flamenco Foundation brings the fiery footwork and exciting live flamenco music of Templanza to Benaroya Hall. José Jurado,Templanza creator and dancer, explains, " 'templanza' (temperance) is the slow-burning fire in the movement of a bullfighter's cape, in the steady hands of a guitarist, and in the tranquility of a dancer's soul."
