TheatreWorks New Milford hosts auditions for Mauritius Monday & Tuesday, April 12 & 13 from 7 to 9 PM. The show is directed by Sonnie Osborne and performances run June 4 - 26

JACKIE: After years of family trauma and tired of always getting the short end of the stick, Jackie feels entitled to the heirloom stamp collection. She is a pragmatic young woman, with a combination of ferocity and fragility.

PHILIP: A stamp shop owner and dubious stamp expert, Phil is a man of limited dialogue and revealing silences.

DENNIS: A likeable con man and young man of shifting dependability and unreliable compassion, Dennis is a hanger-on at Phil's shop who is ever-ready for a deal.

STERLING: A dangerous money man with a collector's mania, Sterling is determined to own the famous "Mauritians". He provides the evil that makes all the other characters' behavior tolerable by comparison.

MARY: After leaving home for boarding school and never looking back, Mary thinks the stamp collection should be hers because it originally belonged to her grandfather. She is Jackie's better educated older half-sister with a self-serving, smarmy, and pretentious attitude.
