Festival promoter Howard Alan Events has added a new show to its spring line up, the Marco Island Festival of the Arts will debut April 5 - 6, 2014. This two-day juried event will transform Veteran's Park into an outdoor gallery style art exhibit. Festival patrons can expect to see bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary and whimsical art, life-size sculptures, photography, handcrafted jewelry and much more. Admission to the art show is free and open to the public.

The festival will showcase the finest work of more than 150 leading artists in the country and will appeal to people of all ages including families, art enthusiasts and serious collectors looking for new and emerging talent. All exhibitors will be on site for the duration of the show.

Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to engage the artists to gain a better understanding of their work and inspiration as they stroll through the vast array of quality original art. They will also be able to register to win the free art giveaway featuring the work of exhibiting photographer Dennis Goodman. The prize, a 24" x 36" print of "Veil of Glory", valued at $650, will be on display at his booth where registration will also take place. No purchase will be necessary to participate and the winner will be announced during the final hour of the festival. This talented artist hopes to inspire others, through his photography, to take part in the preservation of the precious wetlands and ecosystem he greatly values and captures in his images.
