The Harbor Lights Theater Company, a professional not-for-profit company dedicated to illuminating the human experience through the highest quality theatrical production and arts education, announces its professional theater training program that begins March 7, "Enter Stage Right," and its Spring Semester courses, for youth ages 7-17. Tamara Jenkins, executive artistic director for Harbor Lights Theater Company commented about the importance of improvisation by saying '"Improvisation is one of the foundation building blocks for honest acting. No matter how much technique one has, keeping your spontaneity alive keeps the actor always in the moment. The kids do amazing things in this class and they absolutely love it!"


Spring Semester offerings:

"IMPROVISATION"
AGES 11 - 17
Saturdays from 11 AM - 1 PM
Students will learn skills needed for honest and spontaneous acting by exploring improvisation techniques. The session will culminate in a final showing for family and friends. Taught by Broadway veteran Jay Montgomery.

"THEATER GAMES"
AGES 7 - 10
Saturdays' from 10 AM - 11 AM
Theater Games are proven way to teach basic acting skills and techniques to young actors, while maintaining a fun and free class environment. Taught by working NYC actress Valerie Hill. Snug Harbor Cultural Center
