TIME Magazine each year releases a top ten list of everything from gadgets (Apple's iPad 2 takes the crown this year), to music albums (Adele's 21), to business blunders (Netflix) and beyond - plus, of course, the year's top ten plays and musicals according to TIME.

Topping the list at number one is the West End import WAR HORSE, which utilizes critically acclaimed puppetry to adapt the children's novel of the same name to the stage. WAR HORSE, which won the 2011 Tony Award for Best Play, was also adapted into a film under the direction of Steven Spielberg which hits theaters on December 25.

Tapping its way in at number ten is this year's Tony Award winner for Best Revival, ANYTHING GOES; between lies a unique mixture of shows, including the immersive experience SLEEP NO MORE (#5) and the smash hit of the year THE BOOK OF MORMON (#8). Check out the full list here!
