ERWINNA, Pa. - The fate of the United States hangs in the balance after an onslaught of terrorist attacks. On the brink of downfall, the nation rallies and dispatches its military to finally solve the problematic question of Islam with an unrestrained blitzkrieg campaign. This is "The Price of Contempt" (published by Xlibris) all must pay in James Strait's gripping new novel, which takes the War on Terror to its end, portraying what the peace-loving nation of America can do to its enemies when left with no other option than to wage all-out war in the Middle East.

The nation is besieged, its leader hunkers down with her closest advisors, considering her options before finally deciding on a heretofore unthinkable course of action. In retaliation to the Islamic Soldiers of God's brutal 2018 Christmas Day attacks, President Constance Ridley delegates all responsibility of finally solving the "Islamic problem" to the American war machine, thus consigning America, her allies and the Muslim world to their fates. With nothing to inhibit the United States military, the barbaric acts the terrorists committed on America's homeland are finally repaid on their own lands to a degree never seen before.

Strait's narrative shows just what the leader of the free world is capable of doing in defense of said freedoms, how it can police the world through shock and awe with elite troops and war machines gathered from a coalition of free and willing western allies. They storm the deserts of the Middle East without concern for civilian casualties in the Muslim communities as they eliminate their enemies, the undesirables who have threatened them for so long.

"The Price of Contempt" is a sobering work of fiction that displays what might happen if the United States chose to do to the entirety of the Middle East what the terrorists themselves have done to the land of the free. This is a depiction of all-out conflict unseen since the Second World War, a battle of will and a struggle for the nation's triumph, taking readers on a non-stop off-the-rails ride steaming towards its post-9/11 destination.
