Broadway musical licensor TRW (Theatrical Rights Worldwide) announced today the release of The Addams Family Young@Part as part of their collection of Broadway shows adapted for elementary and middle school aged kids.

With a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, The Addams Family has been the #1 high school musical in the United States 2 years in a row, according to the Educational Theatre Association's annual survey. "We have seen enormous popularity for The Addams Family in the educational market and are thrilled to introduce a new generation to a lovable musical that instills the values of acceptance and family," said Steve Spiegel, President and CEO of TRW.

The Addams Family Young@Part is the 65 to 75 minute adaptation of the Broadway musical for elementary and middle schools. Through a series of workshops with Marc Tumminelli's Broadway Workshop and French Woods Performing Arts Camp, the Young@Part musicals are tailor-made for young performers. Fred Stuart, Chief Creative Officer, spent 4 weeks at French Woods working with a cast of young performers. "These kids were an integral part of the process and we had a blast developing this show. Seeing sparks of creativity from a young cast is what Young@Part is all about."

The Addams Family joins All Shook Up, Curtains and Monty Python's Spamalot in the Young@Part collection. For more information on how to perform The Addams Family and other Young@Part titles, visit www.theatricalrights.com.
