Susan Boyle Reveals Asperger's Diagnosis

British singer Susan Boyle revealed today that she has been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, according to the Associated Press.

The former BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT winner told the London Observer that she visited a specialist a year ago, who noted her "above-average IQ." In the interview, Boyle also opened up about her learning disabilities as a child, and her experiences with being bullied.

"I have always known that I have had an unfair label put upon me," Boyle told the publication interview. "Now I have a clearer understanding of what's wrong and I feel relieved and a bit more relaxed about myself."

Now, Boyle feels a sense of relief from the diagosis.

"Asperger's doesn't define me," she said. "It's a condition that I have to live with and work through, but I feel more relaxed about myself. People will have a much greater understanding of who I am and why I do the things I do."

Known best for her element of surprise and a powerful and heart stopping voice, Susan has become a global top selling artist. The phenomenal album sales, record breaking achievements and multi platinum chart domination- Susan has come a long way from the Britain's Got Talent stage in 2009.
