SILENT WITNESSES, a solo play written, and performed by Stephanie Satie based on interviews and conversations with Child Survivors of the Holocaust, will play United Solo Festival at Theatre Row tonight, November 2 at 2. p.m.

In SILENT WITNESSES, their stories are unique in the realm of Holocaust narratives. They were kids, hidden, off the radar of everyone - of other survivors and the world. Their memories were shaped through a child's lens, yet infused with the wisdom of the adults they've become.

Silent Witnesses will have a 6-week run in Los Angeles just before coming to the United Solo Festival.

SILENT WITNESSES is Stephanie Satie's third solo play, following the critically acclaimed Refugees (published by Samuel French and Best in Fringe in Edinburgh) andComing to America - Transformations. With a voracious appetite for stories, coupled with her interest in the way historical events- cataclysmic events-impact personal lives, her uplifting new theatre piece is based on interviews and conversations with Child Survivors of the Holocaust.

Ms. Satie joins director Anita Khanzadian for their third collaboration. Previously, they worked together on Refugees and Coming to America: Transformations.

Stephanie Satie has performed on stage in New York, Los Angeles regionally and internationally. She has also been a frequent presence on television, with guest appearances on "The Practice," "Boston Public," "The Division," "Beverly Hills 90210" and a recurring role on "The Wonder Years: (as Ida Pfeiffer).

Anita Khanzadian directs. She recently directed "Benched" for Interact Theatre Company in Los Angeles, and has also directed their productions of "Death of a Salesman," "The Root" and "Counselor At Law." She has helmed productions in New York, Washington, D.C., regional theatres, and in India, and Bangladesh. She heads Interact Theatre Company's Playwright's Lab where Silent Witnesses was developed.
