Stage Actor Addi McDaniel Among 50 Finalists for Jauntaroo's 'Best Job in the World'
Over 3,000 hopefuls applied for what has been called "The Best Job in the World." Jauntaroo, an innovation in vacation planning, has recently announced their top 50 finalists. Among them is Broadway performer Addi McDaniel. In the next few weeks the top 5 will be flown to an exotic undisclosed location for more formal interviewing. Ultimately, one lucky adventurer will be chosen to travel the world, blog, and share their stories on the Jauntaroo site, all for a handsome sum of $100,000 a year.
"I submitted a video on a whim, thinking my odds were as good as the next guy's. Why not? I wrote a catchy tune and made a 'music video' using a little stop motion to keep the viewer entertained. I was delighted to hear I had made the top 100! After a second video submission, I had made the final 50. This would be obviously be the dream of a lifetime, but whatever happens, I'm thrilled I've made it this far."
Jauntaroo is looking for someone who is a naturally engaging, personable, generous individual eager to capture local cultures, foods, and activities. They must also be comfortable on camera and using digital camera equipment. You can vote for your favorite applicant once a day until the end of October.
