The Springside Inn's new Broadway series will begin on March 36-27 with Keith Thompson's KOOKY TUNES, described as a "special mélange of comic tales and tunes." The cast for the production features Patrick DeGennaro, Vanessa A. Jones, Perry Payne, Jay Rogers and Thompson.

KOOKY TUNES features comedy skits and original songs like "Gourmet Meal," "Shine Shine Shine," and "Sucker." Thompson also wrote the score for the musicals IDAHO!, a parody of OKLAHOMA! He has also directed many musicals including JERSEY BOYS in Las Vegas, and THE PRODUCERS in Paris.
The new series is dedicated in memory of Thommie Walsh, the late Tony and Drama Desk Award winner. All shows were previously directed by Walsh. The producers of the new series are Baayork Lee (A CHORUS LINE), Merete Muenter and Barbara Walsh (sister of Thommie Walsh).

KOOKY TUNES started development at Eighty-Eights in 1998 and the Laurie Beechman Theatre in 1999. It played Off-Off-Broadway in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks.

Other performances that will be featured in the series include MY MUSICAL COMEDY LIFE, Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie's one-woman show. MY MUSICAL COMEDY LIFE will play from April 9-10. Richard Jay-Alexander will direct the shows with musical direction by Eugene Gwozdz.
The series will end April 23-24 with Julie Budd. Julie Budd has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and more.
