Tony Award-winning star of Hairspray, Marissa Jaret Winokur, will be one of the contestants this season on "Dancing with the Stars."  When news broke of her involvement, she couldn't wait to share that experience with BroadwayWorld.com and its readers.  Marissa will be checking in from now until she wins (YAY!) or is eliminated (BOO!) with exclusive photos and a glimpse into what's going on as she takes on the other celebrities in the ultimate "dance off!"

Marissa says: "Sundays are becoming my favorite! I do my final wardrobe fitting (my dress is even better then last weeks...if that's possible!) You will love it! Then I do camera blocking - but still no band. Not until run through tomorrow! I still think that's insane! Then comes the TANNING!!!!!!! yippy. Today my friends Lucy Lawless (yes Xena) and Ryan O'Connor (not Xena ) came to watch! We had a blast! I gave love to the Hot Jason Taylor but missed his dance. I can't wait until tomorrow! Please please vote for me! I am sooooooo not ready to have this wonderful experience end!"

"Dancing with the Stars" pairs twelve celebrities – six men and six women – with acclaimed dancers, and pits them against each other in attempts to outshine one another. Last season, viewers got a chance to size up the male vs. the female stars, as each gender hit the dance floor on separate nights during the first week of competition. Each week, one couple's fate is determined the following night

Dancing is not the only reason I want to stay in this contest.
There's alway a special time in the day when Tony gets ready to dance.
Matt Morrison will always be my Link and favorite guy,
But Tony is not a bad fill in. Oh yeah - and my husband is the love of my life.
I am a lucky lady. BUT LOOK AT THOSE ABS!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
