In response to popular demand and three weeks before performances begin, Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, extends the U.S. premiere of Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. to May 15.
Written by award winning British playwright Alice Birch, and originally commissioned by the
Royal Shakespeare Company, the American premiere is directed by
Lileana Blain-Cruz, 30, with both rigor and a playful spirit, and features
Daniel Abeles,
Molly Bernard,
Eboni Booth and
Jennifer Ikeda. The production introduces American audiences to Birch, 29, who was a finalist for the
Susan Smith Blackburn Prize in 2012 and 2015 and is a co-winner of the 2014
George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright.
Through a series of provocations that overlap, intersect and explode, Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. exploresthe politics of language. Described by The Guardian as "kaleidoscopic, unruly, searing, sharply funny" and by The Daily Telegraph as "a cluster-bomb of subversion," the work centers on how we talk to, and about, each other. This play is not well behaved.

Performances of Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again.will now take place through May 15 (see schedule above) at
Soho Rep. which is located at 46 Walker Street in Manhattan. Critics are welcome as of April 13 for an official opening on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:30pm. Tickets for the original run (April 5-May 1) are $35/$55; tickets for the extension (May 3-15) are $45/$65 and can be purchased by visiting

Soho Rep.'s series of Humanities events, FEED, will continue for Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. Over the course of the run, four guest speakers will deliver short manifestos/talks on the theme, "What Is Revolution?" On April 20 after the evening performance, author Christian Parenti (Tropic of Chaos: Climate Change and the New Geography of Violence) will speak about "Revolution & Climate Change"; on April 30 after the matinee performance,
Jennifer Lopez who is Executive Director of Everything Transgender NYC will deliver a speech on "Revolution & Gender"; on May 1st after the evening performance, the acclaimed author and poet Eileen Myles (Chelsea Girls: A Novel and I Must Be Living Twice: New and Selected Poems 1975-2014) will address the idea of "Revolution & Language"; and Catherine Morris, Sackler Family Curator for the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, The Brooklyn Museum, will probe the big idea "Revolution & Art" (Date TBA). FEED talks are open to all and begin shortly after the performance concludes.

Molly Bernard (Actor) is most recognizable for her role as feisty publicist Lauren Heller on TV Land's Younger. The comedy series, created by
Darren Star, returned for its second season in January and has already been picked up for a third season. Bernard recently wrapped production on the highly anticipated film Sully, alongside
Tom Hanks and directed by
Clint Eastwood. Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. marks Bernard's Off-Broadway debut. Bernard's diverse film credits include Pay it Forward," directed by Mimi Leder, and The Intern, directed by
Nancy Meyers. On television, Bernard co-starred opposite
John Goodman in Amazon's comedy series Alpha House. Bernard received her Bachelor's degree from Skidmore College and her MFA from the Yale School of Drama. She has also studied at the Moscow Art Theater and trained extensively and performed with SITI Company. In 2014, Bernard received the Leonore Annenberg Performing Arts Fellowship from the
Lincoln Center Theater. Bernard credits her love of acting from her grandfather,
Joseph Bernard, whom she began studying with at the age of six. She currently resides in New York City.
