Wicked's Marty Thomas will continue his concert stint at Club XL on July 4th; Rent's Antonique Smith and newcomer Alysha Umphress will join the star this week.

On June 20th, Thomas was accompanied by Wicked's Jerad Bortz, and other guests have included
Eden Espinosa (Brooklyn), Billy Porter (Grease), Shelly Thomas (Brooklyn), Michael Longoria (Hairspray), Rhett George (Sweet Charity), and Shoshana Bean (Wicked).

Thomas currently appears in the Wicked ensemble, and is the understudy for Boq.  Off-Broadway, he has appeared in Yo Alice, Warm and Emma, and regionally in The Wizard of Oz, Mame, The No-Frills Revue, Grease and Merrily We Roll Along. In 2001, Thomas, an accomplished child performer who appeared on Star Search (and beat out Britney Spears for 1992 Junior Vocalist Champion), released his Billboard debut on West End Records--"Resurrect Me (Lift Me Up);" he earned a Grammy nomination and won Billboard's Song of the Year in the gospel/contemporary Christian category. In 2004, he and his band released a self-titled CD of covers which ranges in style from country to rock to showtunes.

Club XL is located at 357 W. 16th St. (between 8th and 9th Avenues); there is no cover charge to the concert.
