Following sold-out performances at Joe's Pub, 54 Below, and an extended run at Sophie's @ Broadway, Musical Theatre Factory presents the farewell engagement of Shakina Nayfack's ONE WOMAN SHOW, September 2-4 at 8pm. Join Shakina as she recounts the exploits and misadventures that led to her gender transition with new songs and stories added for this final run. Shakina's public approach to gender confirmation is living performance art with a dark, funny, and powerful cabaret edge. After successfully raising over $22,000 through her high-profile KickStartHer campaign, these final performances celebrate her upcoming departure to Thailand to undertake the first internationally crowd-sourced sex change.

A story of surviving the 90s and creating a new life in a new millennium, ONE WOMAN SHOW features original songs by Sam Salmond, Julianne Wick Davis, Joey Contreras, Joel Waggoner, Nikko Benson, and Joe Iconis. Jeremy Robin Lyons music directs, with Mike Rosengarten (guitar), Joseph Wallace (bass), and Jeff Roberts (drums) in the band.

ONE WOMAN SHOW takes place September 2-4 at 8pm and has a $25 suggested donation at the door. $20 advance reservations can be made online at http://mtf.nyc/one-woman-show/

Musical Theatre Factory is located at 250 West 40th Street (between 7th & 8th Ave) on the fourth floor.

Musical Theatre Factory is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to helping musical theatre artists develop and present new work in a collaborative atmosphere free from the pressures of critical or financial success. More information can be found at www.mtf.nyc
