Latin Assistant Choreographer Luis Salgado of the hit musical In The Heights is profiled on NBC with Brian Williams and shares his motto of GOING BEYOND in Making a Difference with his organization R.Evolucion Latina, a collective of artists and activists committed to empowering the artistic community in order to inspire growth within the Latino Community.

With the support if IN THE HEIGHTS and BROADWAY CARES EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS, R.Evolución Latina was founded in 2007. Utilizing the interactive exposure provided by YouTube, MySpace and Facebook we launched with an "active" campaign featuring interviews with positive role models and members of the Latino community who dared to dream.

Today, R.Evolución Latina empowers its network by making the arts accessible and has created a team of activists including many of Broadway's top talent - like Luis Salgado, Michael Balderrama and Gabriela Garcia, who have helped the movement grow and achieve success in a very short time.
