Theresa Rebeck's comedy Spike Heels will open to a limited engagement on May 11th in the Beckmann Theatre at the American Theatre of Actors, 314 West 54th St, New York City.

Rebeck uses her crafty and very often hilarious writing style to delve into issues such as sexual harassment and the implications of societal classism. The play examines these themes through the lives of four complicated characters, each in the depth of their own turmoil, as she explores a four-sided love triangle. F. Kathleen Foley wrote in the Los Angeles Times in 2010 that, "Spike Heels remains a witty and well-balanced treatment of the male-female dynamic, in all its flagrant messiness-and enduring hopefulness."

Starring in the play are young actors Joanna Pinto, Zach Shinske, Andrew Pagliara, and Marie Dinolan. The play is directed by Jay D. Brock and produced by Chase Avon Productions and Howl at the Moon Entertainment. Says director Jay Brock, "Athough this play is 25 years old, the complicated male/female power dynamic explored by Rebeck's play is as relevant today as it was at the premier in 1993. I'm not sure much has changed since then, which is why this play continues to resonate."
