SPEED-THE-PLOW Star Lindsay Lohan Severs Finger in Boating Accident

By:

FOX News reports that Lindsay Lohan, who made her 2014 West End debut in a revival of David Mamet's SPEED-THE-PLOW, severed the tip of her finger in a boating accident over the weekend.

According to the site, Lohan's finger got tangled up in rope as she was attempting to pull the anchor up onto the boat she was on. The severed portion of the finger was recovered and doctors were able to re-attach it during emergency surgery.

Lohan turned to Instagram to share a photo of her bandaged digit following the surgery. Check it out below:

" This is the result of me trying to help anchor the boat by myself. My poor finger!"

Lohan made her motion picture debut in Disney's remake of The Parent Trap (1998), a critical and commercial hit. Her next motion picture, Disney's remake of Freaky Friday (2003), was also a success at the box office and with critics. With the release of Mean Girls (2004) and Disney's Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), she seemed destined for great things. Lohan's debut studio album, Speak (2004), was certified platinum. Her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw) (2005), was certified gold.

In 2012 and 2013, she did further television work, including starring as Elizabeth Taylor in the biographical TV film Liz & Dick (2012). In 2013, she starred in Paul Schrader's independent film The Canyons.
