SMTC welcomes choreographer Bill Hotaling back after his work in last June's Cabaret and musical director Curtis Moeller.

Bill Hotaling is the Founder and Artistic Director of Manhattan Dance Project, now in its 15th year of providing New York style dance workshops across the country and all over the world. Bill has choreographed numerous productions over the years including productions of Fiddler, The Music Man, Chicago and Pippin and has worked extensively with Bob Fosse protégé Chet Walker, who conceived and choreographed the 1999 Tony Award winning production of Fosse. He lives in the north valley with his wife Leah, a former Rockette dancer and their two sons. Bill and Leah own Conservatory of Dance here in Phoenix.

Curtis Moeller received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is currently earning a Master's Degree at ASU in Music Direction for Musical Theatre. His credits include work on such shows as Rent, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Seussical, My Fair Lady, Little Shop of Horrors,Cabaret, and Aida.

Continuing its tradition of bringing Broadway's favorites back to life, SMTC is proud to announce their next production, the hilarious, Tony Award record-breaking Mel Brooks musical The Producers, for a special engagement. Performances will take place at the Tempe Center for the Arts (700 Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe AZ). This full production of will feature an incredible cast and a full live 20-piece orchestra, a rarity in town.

Auditions for The Producers will be held on Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th and will be held at the Conservatory of Dance in Phoenix. SMTC is looking for talented adult singers and dancers of all ages. There will be dance and singing auditions on both days.
