Ryan Murphy spoke with reporters on Tuesday about the possibility that actress Jessica Lange will continue on for future installments of his FX anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY. The series premieres it's 'Freak Show' season tonight at 10/9c on FX.

"This is her favorite season, without question," Murphy shared with the press. "I really want her to keep her hand in. Does that mean 13 episodes? Does that mean six? Does that mean one? She and I are probably going to have a dinner date when the holidays come."

The award winning writer also revealed his plan of how he will convince the actress to stay on for future seasons of the show. "It always starts with a character for Jessica, so I think I'd have to present her with something she was very interested in," he explained. "Before, I was met with a really quick 'No.' Now, I'm hearing, 'Well, let's keep talking.' So I thought that was a very good sign. ... I think if I presented her with the right character, and it could work with her schedule, she might be interested. ... That's my hope."

As far as a Plan B, the GLEE creator quipped, "I'm sending her bribes every day."

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW starsJessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, KATHY Bates, Denis O'Hare,Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, Frances Conroy,Gabourey Sidibe, Evan Peters and Jaimie Brewer, with new cast members Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock and Patti LaBelle joining the ranks for the new season.
